cool, it's raining real hard right now to wash off the kickup from the 18wheeler i passed this am. i did a spot sprayon car wash yesterday so should look nice when its stops raining and dries.

this summer, since using the one-step-sealant from griots, i haven't washed my car with a hose yet. the water just sheets off the car after it rains so no visible dust build up on the top panels. i just spot clean the sides, rear for kick up, and front bumper for bugs. takes me no more than maybe 5-6min max.
and dress the tires. my enkei wheels have brushed aluminum spokes so it does not look dirty at all.

did koni ever come out with the full kit for our GE's? geeez... taking them forever.
wat i noticed on the koni's sold for the abarths, one would have to completely remove the shock from the car
in order to compress and twist the entire top (dustboot portion included) to change damp setting changes.. wtf...

topped off coolant and oil in the '09.
spilled oil a little on the filler as i topped off... wtf. i use these paper cones when i top off and the thing was bent out of shape when i poured. wiped it up, and used RC car motor spray to blast all the spilled oil off. clean again.

so i was searching around for these disposable paper cones to refill my cone dispenser i bought from
griot's garage many years ago. they no longer sell the refills and im down to my last 50pcs.
the ones i found online at a paint store are frikken expensive..
anyway, my wife noted that i should look for cones for snowcones and just cut the
buttom before use. lol pretty clever. and cheap.

btw, any of you run throttle controllers on your GE? i want to rid the slop on the throttle...especially on a hot day the dbw delay is pathetic.
let me know what you guys run. i dont feel like getting a tune.
thanks.

btw, not interested in the apexi one because it rests after wot.
i dont care to save fuel, i want the throttle voltage multiplier (like sprint booster) to increase throttle response. unfortunately it doesnt look like sprint booster offers one
for 2009+ fits. (only for 07-08)

I'm running the 5th generation FreePower Racing throttle controller that TWPanson sells here on the forum. Its available for GD and GE (GK hasn't been confirmed yet for anyone reading) along with other make/models as well as actually has a memory retaining feature that will save the last used throttle setting you used (the non-race does not have this).
Be believe you have 9 choices in "Sport" settings (more sensitive/aggressive throttle), 7 "Eco" settings (relaxed/lazy throttle), and of course normal which is the exact same throttle feedback as stock. Its nice to have and to me seemed reasonably priced for what it offered in comparison to competitors. Definitely worth checking out.

wife noted that the 09's hatch would not unlock preventing her from opening the gate.
she said the handle felt completely disconnected to the lock.
so i took a look at it... i immediately noticed that the handle was not returning to its
neutral position after pulling it. so if i pushed the handle back in (towards the the car),
pressed unlock on my fog again, i could open the gate.
there is a hinge where the sprung handle pivots on. the hinge was rusted and needed
lubing. so i blasted some RC car motor spray in there to clean it first, then couple
squirts of white lithium grease spray. walla...
but i suppose if we'd wash the car more often especially after winter spraying
water into the handle to rid salt, we wouldn't encounter this problem... my GD
never had such issue, my '12 obviously no issue since i take care of it more.
