At my tire store now to swap the old turaza(?) off my '09 with the newish SP7000 off my '12.

Luckily not too busy at the store and so far weather is windy but dry. Not that weather matters.

tires replaced on my 09' checked torque on the lugs, checked psi. all checked out. no additional marks on the wheels which is nice.... but lost one gray valve cap. crap. didn't feel like going back just for that. i have spare gray caps in my parts bin so no biggie.

cleaned up the wheels and sidewall. dressed up the tires. all in all, a job well done.

it's also nice to see that i have one less stack of tires/wheels in my basement. in a few weeks i will need to swap to snows.

There is nothing wrong with a few drinks with your wife during daylight hours....The two of you could have taken a nap together.. It was a date you took her out on, right?

motored my '12 GE to work this am.

i should be receiving my spacers tonight, so i will put them on if it's not raining. these are the 5mm pair for the rears. id like to get them flush like the fronts.

other then that, not much car action today.

yah, looks like the spacers are going to have to wait. too much rain. oh well.
maybe tomorrow, but for sure on Sat.

little OT but i read an article that nissan might bring back the 240Z in a 4banger turbo. sounds pretty cool, not that i will be getting one.

im still looking at getting the next gen G coupe to replace my aging G35C...
and i think im going to drop the idea of getting the abarth seeing as how fun the GE is to drive and own. the '12 MT for sure exceeded my expectations.

Guess the FT86/BRZ struck a nerve, I hope that resonates throughout the industry (Honda please don't be deaf to this you old man).

Unless nissan brings back the Silvia I think this is a good move. Silvia was a 4 seater so it should be more inline as competitor to the brz/frs, but in this economy it's not a bad idea combining the two and have the 2 seater advantage.

I like the exclusivity and commitment 2 seaters have. Completely useless car other than for driving. hahaha.

motored my GE again to work today as it's raining. was a fun drive regardless.

looks like weather's suppose to start clearing up this late afternoon. im hoping i can pull out my Z for a nice drive tomorrow. next week temps are still in the low 40's for the night so i should be okay to drive my G to work... counting down my days though. it's almost november now.

scattered showers still so not sure if i can get the spacers installed tonight again. oh well. probably work on that tomorrow. i need to retorque the 09's lugs anyway so will do that together. i re-torque lugs at least twice after taking them off the car as they can back out.

hope to wash my GE's tomorrow as well after my weekend drive.
then install the variable wiper stalk.

I took a few picts which I will post up later. I couldn't get a good shot of behind the fuse box though. I will update some notes as well.
