Time for a workout: possibly getting "Fit" tonight

Well, after months of lurking and multiple test drives on the auto, I FINALLY got the chance to drive a manual sport. Big difference in the way the car feels and it's a Manual Blackberry FTW!

Now the only hold up is the lack of $$ the dealer is giving me for my trade. it's a difference of $1900 and sparks are flying, but I'm pretty optimistic that we'll meet somewhere that makes me happy and makes them happy.

Pictures may be coming soon...

The dealer had a blackberry when I bought my fit last week. I ended up with tidewater. I think you have made a good decision waiting for the 5 speed.
I had an 07 fit auto and I really like my new 5 speed better.
I traded an 07 civic si sedan and, call me crazy, but I like driving the fit better!!!!

Not hijacking the thread, just borrowing it for a moment.
Suzi Q, is that an actual photo of your car, or is it a stock photo? It's a gorgeous shot.

Bahumut, welcome! I hope your deal goes well.

I loved your title as well. Did you hear about the two Irishmen who lived together? Patrick Fitzgerald and Gerald Fitzpatrick.

Are you a professional photographer? I am a part-time pro, and I'd be proud of that shot.

I tried to rep you for it, but I had already repped you recently and the system said to go brag on someone else for awhile.

I was in the same boat. i was gonna get an MR sport AT (my wife likes AT and I get stuck in traffic sometimes). They offered my 500 for my trade-in when I wanted $2000. I bitched and moaned and the best I could do was get an MR sport MT at 100 over invoice. I bought it and will prolly refinance once I have some more money saved up.

Got it!

It's been another busy morning at work so I've only had time to drive the Fit from the dealership to the jobbie job, but in that time I've discovered how easy the MP3 functionality of the CD player is to use. Sound wise, it's about as clear as the Golf I traded in, but the low-end response isn't as great. Unfortunately, that's all I can say for the car at this point.

This weekend, I have to DJ for a Red Bull/ Oakley event. I plan on loading the hell outta the car. I'll take pics then and share.

The rep thing: your score goes up only after you have been repped several times. If you push the square button that looks like a gray, bored face above your own post, it will show you something about your rep status. Although I rep people all the time, I don't put much stock in it, personally. Any jackleg who has several friends on here can get their rep number up fast, just by repping each other every time one of them farts. It's sort of like little stickers that say "cool". If all Jackleg's friends put those stickers on him every day, then some people might begin to believe he's cool.
That being said, I still rep people when they do something that's positive or helpful. Just good Karma, ya know. Keeping the vibe up so it doesn't get too stuffy in here.

pics, as promised

OKay, here are the pics as promised. The first one is my NOW dirty car after getting it a few days ago. Parked it at work, they cut the grass, now there is fresh grass clippings all over the purple thing.

Since I gotta work a gig tonight, here's the car with one Turntable, a bag of records, a mixer, Mackie SRM450, a Serato Based laptop setup, microphone case, mic stand, speaker stand for the Mackie and a bag full of various patch cables, power cords and record needles.

I only needed to fold one seat down. In the golf that was replaced by the Fit, both back seats would have to folded down to get a speaker in there. As you can see:

..Plenty of room left over.

So far, I have no regrets about switching from the Dub.. Other than the lack of a dead pedal. WTF is with that??? I thought I could ignore it and get used to it, but not so much!

Welcome to the forum! Really great looking Fit - love the color. Sorry about the grass clippings my neighbor across the street does this to me every single time he mows. Great to know that you had lots of room for all your stuff - nice thing about the Fit!

two more pics for y'all:

This blurry photo has a bunch of crap in it.. Acoustic bass, bass amp, R/C car bodies, comic books, 450 + albums, 2600 + CDs, a 4 foot table, a 6 foot table, Burton Sabbath boots, my snowboard and bindings, tascam 1500CDX, turntable, and an umbrella !

Dirty car after getting the Tint done. Sorry that it's hard to see. 35% in front, 5% in rears.

Tint looks great with the blackberry color. I agree with Darkcambria; Zeta dead pedal is a must for comfort and it's relatively cheap.

Awesome Fit!! Love the colour. Its amazing how much stuff you can fit in a Fit. When I went away on holiday recently, there were 5 of us in 2 cars. MOST of the stuff ie. tents, bags, chairs, gazebo, cooler boxes etc went into my car and we only managed to fit one cooler box and one bag into the other car (Toyota RunX).
