tall people in da' fit
Any tall(er) fit owners out there? I seem to recall a recent thread of a guy 6'3" who traded his fit in after only 300miles because he couldn't get comfortable on long trips. At 6'2" , I felt comfortable test driving a fit but have no idea how I would feel after a couple hundred miles. ........

I'm 6'2"(and a half lol), I've had my Fit for about 6000miles. And every time I'm on a long trip I always wish I had about 3 more inches of leg room. The wierd thing is this car has more head room than any car I've ever been in by far. Why not more leg room? But honestly, it's not bad enough for me to ever want to get rid of my Fit. I guess it depends if you might be older and have bad joints or knee problems(i'm only 23)! Hope this helps.

I'm 6'2" and have taken 2 long trips of over 300 mi. My only complaint is the lack of being able to pivot the bottom of the seat, because my legs are really long. I've discovered a quick fix by just putting a pillow under my legs/knees.

i'm only 5'8'', but my legs belong on someone much taller than 5'8''. i've tried to raise the seat. i usually have the seal all the way back... but then the steering wheen doesn't bude towards the driver, so that's a downer. during long trips, i often find myself over adjusting. i have a "bionic" ankle, so the awkward angle is a big poop for me. i really wish i could adjust anything

I am about 6'4" and I have been driving my Fit since mid 2006 without much problem, long and short trips. The seating position is fair, much better than a Prius that I also drive. There is a bit of a problem with my right knee hitting the edge of the center dashboard at times. If the seat pushed back just a bit more it would be perfect. The Civics I have owned in the past were great for my frame - almost too much room - and I wish they could have made an extra inch work in the Fit...

Im 6'2" and i take long trips about twice a month. I find myself constantly moving the seat around trying to find a sweet spot but im starting to think there really isnt one. I took a 12 hour trip to florida at the end of oct and a 7 hour trip this past weekend to tennessee and they are taking a toll out on my back. The head room is amazing but like others have said the leg room just isnt there and it doesnt match the room to the steering wheel at all. I can get a good position for my legs but when i do i find myself reaching for the steering wheel which is very uncomfortable. i end up typically squishing my legs for the best position for my arms and then riding as much as possible with the cruise and just moving my legs around as much as i need. whenever i stop for fuel i end up just taking a few more minutes and walking around. it seems to help. you have to remember that the fit/jazz was enginered for a commuter car not so much for a long trip car so you have to take that into consideration. i wouldnt get rid of the car just because of the bad seat position though. just a minor thing when you look at all the positives in my opinion.

I'm 6'3" and I've taken a 1500 mile 22 hour trip from CT to Miami the past summer. It can get a little uncomfortable, however I just put it on cruise control and then made my feet comfortable, only during busy traffic hours I had to use the pedals and would get uncomfortable after a while. Aside from that, the Fit was a perfect road trip car for 2 people. Keep the passenger side in refreash mode and any time you get uncomfortable just switch with the passenger and go sprawl out.

6'4", 300lbs.... have had my VBP Sport 5at Fit for almost 30k miles now. I have no issues getting comfy on long trips.
Longest time spent in the car in one sitting, 5hrs so far. Felt comfortable the entire time. After getting out my body thourghly enjoyed stretching and moving (not that i'm cramped mind you) though...
