Temp. guage
ok so i know the Fit has those littel hot and cold lights for engin temp. my problem is that it does not give me an accurate idea of where my temp is. it just tells me when it is way too hot or wat to cold.... so my point... has any one installed an aftermarket guage? if so where did you put it and how hard was it? also about how much did it cost?

I would also check out the ScanGauge. It gives you a direct water temp reading. It also gives features we dont have on the Fit which other countries do like a fuel economy display
ScanGaugeII - Trip Computers + Digital Gauges + Scan Tool
Hopefully for xmas!!

I was looking around at a few gauges (the scan guageII looks cool but i want a non digital) and found them anywhere from like 15 bucks (ebay) to 200 bucks (AJ-RACING) i am def. not gonna go with the cheap ebay ones... but i was wondeing if any one has done an install on one of these and how involced it is... would i beable to do it, i know my way around a car resonably well... but im no expert... is this a DIY and also would it posibly void the warrenty?

Autometer analog work good for me. You can scan all three in micro seconds no need to change the screen like scanguage. not the most expensive but not the cheapest either.
Temp gauge is the easiest to install. Go to your local parts place and get one of these....
Cheap at about $10.00 2 years ago. They come in different sizes this one was 33 mm but not 100% sure about the USDM one so just take your hose along or measure the ID. Find a good spot on your top hose and remove about 1 inch total for room to install the adapter cut and install the two new clamps, screw in your gauge sending unit, run a wire inside the cabin and hook up the power and lights wire and done. Install fresh coolant to top off and fire it up.
See how hot the Jazz/Fit runs very scary.
And finally nice night shot. You can change the caps with green or red or run with no caps and have white light.

Autometer can be found at speed shops or online at places like Jegs.com or summitracing.com. The ones in the photos are the phantom style but there are a bunch to chose from. To pick yours out go to the Autometer home page first as they have the best photos then order online. The holders could be a problem because these are from a local Thailand company.
