Honda Tech

Just wanted to say hi. I'm the Accessory Technician at Superior Honda on the Westbank. If anyone has any questions feel free to hit me up as I'm pretty much the only one that likes/works on fits here at the shop.

Hi I recently had a CEL come up U0155, something to do with the guage cluster. I have the JDM footwell lights installed as well as some other lights that I wired into the same harness (dome, jdm floor lights harness) do you think there was too much draw on that one line when i started my car and thats why the CEL came up? I also have a garmin nuvi plugged into the 12v adapter as well as a scangauge 2 that was plugged in at the same time. I cleared the CEL and removed the offending lights and it hasn't come back. Any insight on this?

this is the first time i've heard of this problem. but i see it like this. Considering JDM lights/accessories DO draw more amperage than usdm standard, you MIGHT be drawing to much. I would suggest running 1 or 2 of them to seperate power circuits in the car and see if this fixes your issue. if not bring it in to Honda and request that Kevin ( myself ) or Henry diagnose your car. we are the only two in the shop that have knowledge of JDM accessories.sorry I couldn't give you a more definitive solution. But at the same time, if the problem hasn't come back I wouldn't worry about it.

Anywhere between 2300 and 3400 RPMs based on throttle.

6000 rpm is only applicable to DOHC vtec engines.

Hi!

I wonder if you did notice some cases of Dash rattle???

I have these and i don't know what to do. I already wrote to Honda Canada but they didn't answer my letter.

Rattle

I have dash rattle too. I've been following some of the post's where you should wedge some rubber material between the plastic and firewall behind the glove box, but it seems like the rattle is coming from behind the radio/below front air vents. It's hard to pinpoint where it's coming from when the sound comes on when driving on rough highway only.
