Here is the base
For some reason, the shift knob isn't even mentioned under the features that separate the sport from the base. It used to confuse me, because when I test drove the car I currently owned, the shifter didn't match the pictures on the website (which was base)

I have 48k on my Fit, soI wonder if it's normal for that to happen, or if I mess with it a lot...

mt shifter
I screwed in a Hurst T-Handle. I've put them in all the mt cars I have owned - just what feels best to me.
Aluminum handles do suxXx. I have a headband/bandanna(?) around the gear shift post to wrap the T-Handle when it is too cold or too hot.

I wonder if it's US only...or kept secret. The site doesnt' even mention you get a better knob for the sport model

i didn't really notice the shift knob since my old car's shifter was about the same size... but the transmission's what sold me on the car! definitely one of the best fwd shifters i've had the privilege to use : )

As an American who grew up due north of Canada, and as someone who has been to Canada many, many times, I'd like to apologize to our friends to the north for your "Canada = suck" statement. I hope you were not serious .
In any event, it appears as if Canada will have the last laugh on us. If you pay any attention to the news, you have seen the value of their dollar rise, while ours has been plummeting. One difference between the U.S. and Canada. In Canada, loonies are dollar coins. In the U.S., they are running our government.

This weekend, I downed one in my MT Fit, so for a while my shfter was both sweet and crunchy .
And yes, like the base MT ball and boot, very European, the ball reminds me of VW, and the little shift boot is similar my very first car, Citroen GS.
