A lawyer has no interest in arguing liability for ya they want part of your settlement

your insurance company should go after her insurance for the deductible you paid and reimburse you... if they don't, sue her in small claims court for it, you may get a default judgment if she doesn't show up.

I feel your pain...
I had a similar experience a few months ago. Two months after getting my fit some genius backed into me while pulling out of a parking spot. I had pulled over at a hydrant to drop off my girlfriend at home and this guy in a minivan just backed up to leave the meter spot in front of me without checking his mirrors. The damage was minor and cosmetic - dented fender , bumper and headlight cover, but enough to be infuriating seeing as I was standing stock still.
It's back from the shop and looks fine, but I know what you mean about the deflowering. It's just not the same. When I got it back the new headlight wasn't properly aligned with the existing one, so now at night instead of a Suzuka-factory-perfect illumination pattern I have to look at the cockeyed job the body shop did. I'm taking it back as soon as I can.
Eh, I guess they all take their knocks sooner or later.
