so last night i kinda beat a vette off the line at a stop light..... i ddnt actualy think i was gonna win but appearently the dude cant shif cuz he was def. trying to keep me from gettin by him but i did... maybe he just underestimated the Fit? im sure it was his lack of skill that caused me to win.. i mean a 1.5L with 109 HP vs. a 5.7L pushing 350? do the math i should have gotten smoked..... lol

 

In your dreams.... if the Vette REALLY wanted to get by or prevent you from getting by NO CONTEST.

 

Well, that is pretty much how I pull away from robots, always first!! (or I try anyway ), and I have to agree with Firebat, a lot of people underestimate the Fit and get a bit of fright when they see the dust standing before them where there was a Fit 3 seconds ago lol!!

I doubt it man. Even with poor shifting he could smoke the fit no prob

 

The Fit will beat the Corvette in the quarter-mile. However, this does require the Corvette driver to give the Fit a ten-second head start.

 

I doubt he was trying, if those Vettes are anything like my dad's Trans AM, that thing will do over 80mph in 2nd gear, even if he sucked at shifting, we would've had to shift 4 times to his 2.

 

 

Or maybe they had no idea that they were being "jumped" by a Fit and were just driving nromally.

there is no, POSSIBLE, way a vette raced you and lost, period. even if it was a crappy ass cross-flow, mako piece of shit....they'd still beat your poor little 18 second 1/4 fit.

new vettes run low 12's stock.....some are 11's...some cam only ones are high 10's... just no way you could ever beat one man, unless it was broken

10) The Vette had 4 flat tires

9) The driver of the Vette was actually so old he was not able to push the gas pedal down!

8) The Fit was cloaked!

7) The Vette ran out of fuel on the line

6) The owner of the Vette was trying carrots as an all natural replacement for spark plugs

5) It was the Lambo guy from riceboypage.com who just couldn't squeak out the Geo Metro on his lap time!

4) The Fit had a turbo.... and massive weight reduction... and a Vette engine

3) It was a race from Ikea, the Vette had to make 3 trips to take his bookshelf home.

2) The Vette driver was very confused that a Fit wanted to race, he was in mad hysterics and forgot to go.

1) And the main reason a Fit would beat a Vette.... well let's just say if it was a story I was telling I would have won!
