Flickering frontlights

I just discovered yesterday when driving in the late evening and it was dark outside so I had to use the headlights, there was a small flickering in the lights a little over one minute apart. The flickering was just minor and it just dimmed down a bit for a fraction of a second. It is not big deal since it so short, just wondering what could it made do so.
It was 8 degree celsius outside and I was driving at about 80km/t.
I tried to turn of AC and other things like Heating, Radio, foglights and such but it was still flickering once each minute.
I forgot to try to see if it still was flickering when the car was stationary.

It looked like something was turned on, like a motor or something that used a bit more power in the start. I thought it could be the cooling fan for the motor?

Any ideas?
It is not a big deal, but the car has just passed 15.000km and is due for its first service and I will ask the servicecenter then.

Hmm.. strange, dont know what could be causing it but I hope its not serious! Already on 15 000km's? Im close too, about 10 500km. The kilometres fly by when you are having fun (driving)

Normal operation. It's either the engine fan like you thought or the a/c compressor starting.

Should the A/C compressor start and stop when the AC is off (I turned all ventialtion off for a few minutes)?

I'll try again tonight and see if it correlates to the engine fan. You can only hear the fan from outside of the car. And then I would also test if it is flickering when the car is stationary (hard to drive and stay outside of the car at the same time )

Yep, this car is very sensitive to variations in current draw; it's probably due to the very small alternator. It's normal.

grab a multimeter and check the alternator with loads turned on.

i've noticed flickering like this when i move the windows up or down or if i change the fan speed. occassionally it'll flicker on it's own, but nothing too serious.

i notice this, but i dont think its a big problem also, it happens when im parking or just letting go of the clutch a little to move the car; parking. i also believe that its prob the small alternator, since i have this happening when running on clutch lower then 1000rpm

Is the alternator really that small? Like less ouput than the Civic for example?
