Scary stick shift moment today

You'll get used to it Gordio. Just give it a little more gas and be quicker with your left leg. A little more clutch would have kept it from stalling. We don't have much torque to work with so steep hills can be tough.

omfg i so agree with you.... i hate ****ing soccer moms... all they do is do 50 million things while driving their giant SUV's thinking they are invincible... and pay zero attention to anyone else... especially tiny cars like Fit's soccer moms should have their lisences revoked....

I have a weird belief a good stick shift driver should engage the clutch with as low RPMs as possible when going from stop to go. This made me think if it engages and i get little movement up, i can fully engage clutch and floor the gas. It wasn't enough torque for my little Fit.

I'm still gonna e-brake, but be more willing to burn clutch. I live in SF, but rarely in the hilly portions, so one burn every once in a while isn't gonna burn the clutch.
