Theres a pic of the "RS" in there which is the sport i belive.
I just read the whole article and it seems like the new Fit is a big impovment! They said it feels just as stable at 110MPH then it does at 50MPH!! Thats really saying something! They also said it handles EVEN BETTER then the currnt gen, it must handle like its on rails! Cant wait!

I don't get why it says 107 torque is 21 more than currently.
but ten cupholders...that's 5 more than currently!!!
I hate how the edmunds article makes it seem the current generation sucks. Theyr'e the same people who rank the new xD higher than the fit.

"...the Fit gets a tweaked design look, more interior space and, wait for it, improved ride and handling, an issue of some controversy with its predecessor."
wtf i thought reviewers and magazines always complimented on how great the current fit handles? aw the new ones get i-VTEC, lucky..

likes: the seats, rear seats (low headrests that go down), inside operational fuel lid, i-vtec, no more ghetto honda "pull-push" interior lock, wider, increase interior space, mpg
dislikes: exterior redesign, nonsliding panoramic roof looks unsafe, gauges look funny, no six speed?!

No spare tire is suicide. Flat tires are a fact of life!! (Can of Fix-A-Flat I guess? That stuff is nasty.)
I read that the Japanese mpg rating for the Fit is way, way, way optimistic -- i believe the chosen words were "notorious rating".
It looks funny, but I think I might buy one when they arrive after 6 mo. The base model looks respectable now, and the sport trim is a bit loud if anything I think.
Obviously the +21tq was really meant to be quoted at a lower rpm (perhaps the 2000 mentioned in the article?) -- ie, wider power band.
"The Fit Sport will feature the RS model's body kit of aerodynamic devices as well as taller wheels and tires, much as it does now."
Er, is that why the A/T fit is suffering right now?? Our tires are too tall?
Well, there's nothing wrong with the present Fit, and it doesn't have any notable issues. All the same, I think many would agree it could use an infusion of something to bring a bit more life out of it. I find it hard to recommend the current generation to anybody else, except hardcore Honda or small hatchback-minded people.

Looks good but pricy
Sunroof, better ride and handling and my hp add up to what I can only assume is a much higher priced vehicle.
Like Toyota did to the XB. nice 12k car (base) then for 2008 it's got a camry engine, and a 20k sticker. Nice ride but no longer affordable.
I'm not reading that it's a hybrid. Wasn't it supposed to be? or alternative fuel?

Im almost positive the price jump will be no more then 1,500, they need to keep the Fit affordable to keep the car a success.

I would agree but today's run-flat tires aren't the stiff-riding monstrosities of just a few years ago, thanks to improved sidewall designs. In fact, the latest version of the new Mini has a nicer ride because they switched to a better run-flat tire design, alleviating most of the rock-like ride that turned off some potential Mini buyers in the past.

Didn't think our steering and handling was ever a problem, but it sounds like the new one is much stiffer and should provide an even better ride while absorbing bumps better. They said in the article that structural rigidity increased by 167%...
