Trade-in value on an 07' Fit Sport (AT)

Hey gang

I may *possibly* be trading in both of my vehicles (07' Honda Fit) & (06' Nissan Armada)...I'm in the Military and have an assignment overseas coming up where we can only bring one vehicle. I know it's not ideal (or very good financially) to trade in two pretty new vehicles for another new one...but I'm not sure what else I can do. I do have both cars listed locally and on craigslist (LA) etc. I have had some interest, but just want to also explore the trading it in route in case I run out of time trying to sell privately.

Honda Fit Sport (AT)
Black Interior
Mileage: 7,000
Only thing added to it: 3M Ceramic Widow Tint

Just wanted to see if anyone here could provide some insight or thought on what I can expect if I were to try and trade the Fit in.

kbb.com says:

Condition Value
Excellent
$15,775

Good
$14,800

Fair
$13,165

I could probably live w/ $14000 as trade...I have the extended warranty which I could cancel and probably get back $800+ of the $1075 that I paid for it.

Anyway, just wanted to check here before getting laughed out of the dealership

I doubt that you will get 14k if you trade, most dealerships really low ball you when it comes to trading cars..I would use trading in as a last resort and try to sell your self for more money..If you dont mind me asking what kinda car are you going to buy?

Yeah, trading is definitely my last resort...but I am slowly running out of time to sell on my own...

Not 100% sure what car we would get if we did this...probably a Honda or a Nissan. Maybe Accord...maybe Altima...maybe 08' Fit
