Rain water in speaker grill-weird!

Hi,
I live in the northeast and we've just gotten a bunch of rain. This is the second time I've noticed that following an extensive rain my driver-side speaker grille has water in it. Has anyone else experienced this? I am especially concerned because I had upgraded the front door speakers and don't want to spend more money to replace them again because of failure due to water intrusion.
Any help/insight would be appreciated. I am ready to make an appointment with my dealership.
Gregg

if you already made an appointment with the dealership then you've done the right thing. you can also try using a hose to find where the leak is coming from, but you might get your speakers wet again. are you sure the water didn't leak in when you opened the door to get in/out of your car though?

If you had your speakers upgraded at the dealership or by Honda, you haven't anything to worry about. If you did the work yourself, you might have not sealed the plastic water barrier in the door well enough. Likewise, if you had it done by a third party, they might have not sealed it well enough. Of all the options in front of you, UNLESS YOU HAD THE WORK DONE BY HONDA OR THE DEALERSHIP, the dealership would be the last place you should go, as their rates are the highest. Go to any body shop in that case. Best to you.

I agree with steel dog. The plastic water barrier wasn't sealed properly. Go back n check your work maybe you forgot to put it back together.

The only way I get water in my speaker grills is if I leave my windows cracked and it rains. Somehow the rain gets past the visors.....

It sorta bubbles over the grills.... Looks cool. Hehe
