Broke 40 MPG . . .

killed it actually, with my last trip netting me 44 MPG

This trip was mainly all highway driving, little A/C and cruise control set at just over 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5th. I did put a little bit of city driving on this tank and I had a few passes at higher RPM's, but for the most part, it was highway cruising. RPM's were running about 3,100 at the speeds noted above.

Total distance travelled was 525 km (322 miles) on 27.6 litres (7.37 gallons) of fuel.

Suffice to say that I was impressed

Are you driving an auto or manual transmission fit, and are you a base or a sport model?

Since April 4 , 06 I've averaged 41.2 MPG over 11,400 K. Highest was 2 times at 46 last July/Aug.

A little less this year, 44 MPG, guess I have to stop using D3 for a quick getaway.
Of course our flat prairie is prob. the diff. LX AT

willmax11, is that US MPG or Imperial? What is your average L/100km?

That 44 I posted was US MPG. My average up until that point (mainly mixed driving) was 33 US MPG.
