For the pre intake/wheels tanks I went 934.5mi consuming 25.66 gallons of gas, netting 36.42 mpg combined about 70 percent local roads 30 percent highway.

Then for the 3 post intake/wheel tanks I went 912.7 miles consuming 24.2 gallons of gas netting 37.71 mpg.

There was no change in my driving style and it was a similar blend of highway and local road miles for each set. I was slowly accelerating to 2500rpms for my shifts and cruising around 45mph as much as possible. I would coast to lights in 5th gear with no gas as well. I was not doing anything too drastic though.

The problem with your experiment is that statistically you haven't proven much. You need to take the individual 3 ankfuls nd calculate the 3 sigma variations of both sides of the result and see if there was at least 90% assurance of a difference.
Its a common error by the globval warming proponents because they have no idea what the temperature range of theearth for the last 100,000 years, only the last 50. All they have i a trend and trends are not surety.
For example, I recently took off the inlet iping and substitted aair horn. My last two tanks have been 2.5 mpg improved. Not necessarily from the air horn (velocity stack) - yet. I need about 6 tank fillups to compare to the last 6 fillups before and even then because the air temperature has changed (down) it may not be indicative then.
But hold on and when you clean the filter and re-oil it be very careful to do it properly. Excess oil from reinstallation of even new K&N's have been known to foul the MAF sensor.
cheers, and good luck.

GD3 Fits DO NOT HAVE MAF SENSORS. Only GE8's have them.

Yeah I was just stating that in the real world my consistent 36mpg has now increased to about 37. I know its not perfect but it was just a rough assumption.
