New VS Certified Pre Owned
hey guys some i test drove a used fit today they were asking for 17500 but was negotiable im not sure how negotiable that means but thats what they said. so im wondering whats the better deal.... should i .
1. see how close i can get the dealer to msrp for a new fit and soak up the 100,000 mile certified pre owned warrenty
or
2. just buy a brand new fit
also i think its semi important to state its a black manual sport wich is hard to come by as it is. i drove it and everything seemed fine but im not sure what the smartest move would be ;( i need advice BAD!!!
thank you very much

Don't Fit come in either base or Sport, MT or AT? The Sport AT should be the most expensive. Here in NY/NJ, the sticker for that is 16,565. What the hell are they charging in CA for a new FIT???
Don't overpay. The thing depreciates HUGE as soon as you pull off their lot. If you were to take it back in a month, they would bend you over in a second.
Find a dealer you like, and order a black one if that's what you want...new.
They can stick that 17.5.

Fly into Las Vegas or where ever they have the car you want ($70-150?)
Buy the genuine Honda extended warranty from College Hill Honda or ebay. (discounts $300+ are possible over what a normal dealer would charge as the is a normally huge markup item)
Done, you get a brand new car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Theres a couple things to take into consideration. I wouldnt pay more than 14500 for the car. They will tell you its certified blah blah. in any case i wouldnt pay more than 14,500. With the Honda certified program you get a extra 12k/1yr comprehensive coverage on top of the 3yr/36k. So essentially you get 4yr/48k "bumper to bumper" then the remaining 7yr 100k powertrain warranty.
