Shifting a Sport 5AT?
#121
New to Shifting
Hello,
I have a new fit and have been playing around with the paddle shifters. I have little experience driving manual, and even less using AT shifters.
Can I keep the gas down constantly while shifting in S mode, or should I be letting go of the gas for each gear shift? Is either way bad for the engine/tranny?
Thanks.

I'll sometimes downshift to 3rd if I need to briefly slow down a little (very rarely to 2nd if I need to slow down a LOT) and in that case, I'm not going to have my foot on the accelerator.
