What you DONT like about your Fit
#2782
Coming from a 2002 Grand Marquis (and she had a little Marauder in her), been in the Fit for a month.
No center console. The horn. The cup holders don't have enough....head room? or are poorly placed.. The horn. The top of the steering wheel blocking the speedometer. The horn. 0-60 time. The horn.
The creature comforts of a full sized luxury car and the four additional cylinders are missed (damn black ice) but 30 mpg city driving and the iPod hook up are making up for it. And that damn horn just does not properly convey my feelings when I sound it.

Mine has the chassis cracks that leaks water into the spare tire well. I fixed that with silicone. The GD3 is not the most rustproof car if you live in a coastal area or a place with lots of daily fog. Sports radio is better than base but still has terrible bass and tinny tweeters. Gas mileage is not awesome for city driving but ok for hwy driving.

I bought a 2017 Honda Fit and when I first got it I was sure it had automatic walk-away locking. It would beep when I left the car and it would lock itself. After I had the car for a few weeks something was accidentally left on and the battery died. When it was recharged the auto walk-away lock doesn't work and Honda says it was NEVER available on this model. (I think it is the LX) A car buddy told me that it is something that should be programable and I want to know if this is true. IF so, how can I have it reprogrammed to work?

my GK developed cracking/flaking paint on the passenger door at the window sill and its been progressively worse.

Coming up on 2 years of ownership....
What I have discovered I don't like?
The windshield wipers have dragged and chattered to the point where I had to upgrade the entire blade.
The Indirect TPMS system seems to give false alerts routinely on long solid highway drives.
And the yellow plastic ended oil dipstick is just horrible.
All those are things I can accept. No vehicle is perfect.
I wouldn't really move much else into the negative column.
Even the "too low" center console, I've actually come to like.

2013 Sport Nav
Passenger seat doesn't go far back for tall passengers' knee room.
No adjustable intermittent wiper.
No roof rack as standard
Cheap AF felt in cargo area.
Cost of nav map updates ($150!!!)
The tow bolt circle plates are hard to get out without damaging bumper paint.
No large cup/bottle holder. The 1 liter Nalgene doesn't fit.
Dash very glare producing in low angle sun.
Steering wheel obscures spedo.
But overall, it's a fanfuckintastic car.

What's not to like about the dipstick??

Only thing I don't like about my 2017 LX 6 speed is that the front passenger seat doesn't fold down forward and flat.
My Toyota Matrix front passenger seat did. It was great to tuck things I wanted to hide from view on the seat, then fold the seat over them. With a front passenger seat folded at the same level as the back seats, I could haul more cargo and not be concerned with messing up the upholstery.
Other than that, my FIT's been great; zippy and good mileage.

I can attest to the dipstick being annoying to read.
I thought it was just me! The false alert(s) were driving me insane a few weeks ago, haha.

I don't understand how this new system even meets the government mandate for tire pressure monitoring. They are monitoring the tire diameter and not directly measuring pressure. If it can't tell me the actual tire pressure, it's not an actual monitor.
10 years later and our Fit has never once falsed. Neither have my other vehicles.

I hate the yellow plastic ended dipstick. It's hard, nay nearly impossible to read, and seems designed to glob and be difficult to read.
Worst dipstick I've ever had.

Yes, the steering wheel blocks too much of the important stuff like the low fuel and low tire warning, head and fog light indicators.

What's Not to Like?
I own a 2016 Honda Fit.
Anyone else find the front windshield A pillars to be pretty blind spot inducing?
Even with the cut out windows, I find the them to be pretty bad. I find myself desperately looking around them when I come to any forward stop.
