Mileage reports: Automatic transmission (5AT)

Fuel economy.
Picked mine up in Memphis yesterday, Sport A/T. The car had 3.1 miles on the odometer, and the tank was full. Put 50 miles on it running around town, and then pointed it south and drove home. Filled it up this afternoon - 282 miles, 8.1 gallons, 34.8 mpg on the first tank. The next several weeks will be mostly the 12 mile commute to work, a mile or so of city driving on each end with 10 miles of interstate in between. That's about as real world as you can get.

Sport A/T: I drove exceptionally hard on this last tank of gas, and still got 31.8 mpg (US), so the motor must finally be wearing in properly -- I was getting 28-29 a few tanks ago and not even driving as hard. I've been alternating per tank between driving hard and lightly to see if the wear-in process is actually happening.

I'm sitting on my first tank of gas (for the Fit, that's literally!). I only have around 110 miles (80% city) for my current trip (does not include the trip that dealer took from the gas station) but I'm close to the half way mark now...

I'm now at 215 miles on this tank, and just hit 1/2 mark.

I put my first tank in my Fit Sport AT today. 312 miles and 9.604 gallons = about 32.5 mpg. My driving has been 40% city, 60% rural, with A/C on the last 100 miles or so. For break-in I've been keeping it below 60mph and 3500 RPM. Never had it on the highway yet with CC to really get a feel for the highway mileage.

My wife drives about 300 miles per week on her sport AT we average about 32.5mpg. Oil life is down to 70 % with mileage over 2300 miles. I did notice when the gas light comes on you can put in about 9 gallons of gasoline in the tank, which leaves about 1.5 gal in the tank.

Just finished my first tank of gas...
Sport Automatic Transmission.
Left the dealership with .5 miles on the odometer, and the fuel gauge needle was to the right of "F" on the fuel gauge when I took delivery.
I drove a mix of highway (mostly at 60 MPH with the cruise control on) and city driving, did some driving with the paddle shifters, had friends and cargo in the car some of the time and had the A/C on for 99% of the time...it's been hot in NY the past couple of days.
Only managed 265 miles of driving around before the fuel light came on. Estimating around 24.53 MPG...A/C is taking it's toll and hopefully will do better as the car breaks in.
Filled the car with 10.465 gallons of fuel.

Sport, A/T
I do not baby new car break-in periods but I dont use "S"drive.... yet, because I think Honda has the power band for the shifting just right.
First 1/2 tank = 30.8, 2nd 3/4 tank = 32.1
I drive 60/40 city/H.W., a/c ~50%
I want 35, but it's so nimble to drive, I don't care anymore.

Have filled up three times in my Sport AT in 700 miles of mostly inner city driving with a good amount of A/C use. Average mileage is a little over 30 MPG. Am anxious to see just what mileage I'll get when we take a long Interstate trip. My son's getting over 40 MPG in just over 1.5K miles on his basic Fit with std transmission in back country road driving to and from work each day in upstate NY.

My first report on gas mileage:
First tank - 85% city, using A/C: 28 mpg
Second tank - 25% city, 75 mph on interstate, hilly terrain, using A/C: 29 mpg
Third tank - 90% interstate, hilly, 80 mph, using A/c: 32 mpg
I'm disappointed, but optimistic.
Notes: My low fuel light doesn't come on until my gauge is almost on "E". I'm getting more gas than I should in the tank. So far I've put - 12.2, 12.1, 11.8 gallons in it. Maybe the tank is made of rubber??
I had a Civic Si with a 13.2 gallon tank that I put 15.6 in more than once. Also had a similar experience with a CR-V. However, both of my CRX's with 11.9 gallon tanks - I've never been able to put more than 11.0 gallons in. Go figure!!!!
1050 miles, 90% oil. This car is FUN!!!

@3100miles 33.5mpg US for the last 575. town and country all drop off pick up, shopping and such. Some sport mode, paddle shifting, 5-6k runs. Oil at %60. I love getting lost in the corners. I think cops are getting the idea they could catch a few fits.
