I just posted my smash up I think its in the gas mileage section. From the rear mine looks about the same. Just replacing the rear and back right side panel and hatchback ran over 6,000. Mine runs and looks like new again. Of course it is new just been abused. I'm in Oregon and the allow diminished value claims if they don't total yours for some reason, look into having a diminished value assessment done and you may get compensated for loss of value. That really sucks! I had 2,000 miles on mine when it happened.

Hope everyone ends up being okay! At least there weren't any broken bones or bad injuries. Let us know what happens with the Fit!

If your girlfriend and passenger continue to be in pain, make sure they see a lawyer and find out the statute of limitations. I worked with a guy who was only in his early 20s when someone hit him while driving a work vehicle. He thought he'd be ok, but nearly two years later was still hurting. He filed in the nick of time; statute of limitations would have run out two years after the accident. He had to go to court, and the insurance company settled. He moved away, and didn't keep in touch with us, so I'm not sure how he's doing now. A rear end collision that hard, at that speed, could be serious.

So sorry to hear of your bad news. I hope everyone ends up getting back to good health. I was hit by a guy running from the cops on Super Bowl Sunday back in 2000. He ended up t-boning my 2000 Civic Si. He of course had no insurance and my car had only 60 miles on the odometer at the time of wreck. I later found out I was the third car he hit that morning.

Hope your girlfriend and passenger are feeling better quickly.
Amazing how well that tiny car took a hit like that, and from looking at it with damage at both ends no way in hell that car is repaired by your insurance company. But more important is the fact that everyone walked away.

I ride motorcycles and the whole smashed from behind by someone not paying attention is scary, if that was someone on a bike they would've needed sheets to cover the carnage with.

Bad luck

We've had one fit totaled back in November with 4680 on the odo and it's replacement was obtained in December and was then hit by a city garbage truck with only 5500 on the odo. The second one will be back in service after a new rear hatch door, hardware and paint. The city will pay the 1800.00 dollar bill...wonder if that driver loses his job?

I can't believe you weren't concerned about the Legend as well. When I saw this I almost crapped my pants. Looks identical to mine. Was it a '91 or '92?

this thing is SWEET. Got it for $35k drive-out w/ Lojack and Titanium care package.

In regular acceleration, it MOVES and you could see (via boost gauge) and hear the turbo spool up! The tehnology package itself is so0o0o nice. Real-time traffic, rearview camera, bluetooth, navi, etc....

i havent went WOT yet, lets break it in first K23 turbo fun

Hey Josh-
I just caught up with your Fit disaster when I read the last reply in this thread. Congratulations on the upgrade replacement! I hope your gf and her bother have recovered.
Best wishes-
