Driving fun
#4
I briefly drove a Gen 1 years ago and own a Gen 2. I don't have direct experience with the Gen 3, but my sense is that each version has gotten a bit larger and heavier.
There's also the issue of M/T vs A/T or CVT. If you don't drive M/T and don't want a CVT, for example, then the Gen 3 is out.
If your idea of fun is "go-kart" then my ranking would be Gen 1 > Gen 2/3.

I've only test driven a Fit newer than 2009 Gen 2 and that was a short demo in a 2015. However I have driven my son's 2007 Sport A/T and my 2009 Sport A/T a lot. Because the Gen 1 lacks an adjustable steering column and a dead pedal I can't get as comfortable in his car as I am in my 2009.
