MT Transmission noise

Okay, I'm getting close to the 100K mi mark, it's paid off and now I'm starting to hear noises in first and second gear... I'm still on the original clutch. I usually downshift and match revs, and I have driven it hard to stay up with traffic. I just changed the fluid for the second time with Honda MT fluid, old stuff came out clean. It doesn't grind, but it sounds loud in first gear, with an little resonance sometimes. Second is also loud, but not like first. Also, tranny is quiet when clutch is depressed, louder when released in neutral.

Any ideas? Similar sounds? Oncoming problems?????

Any difficulty in shifting?

edit: if no issues shifting - most likely gear or bearingwear.

No problems shifting sounds like gear whine, so it could be bearings...

100K is a lot of miles - as long as you positive the fill level is right on it's something inside. Shifts smooth and not popping out of gear then gear wear or a bearing would be it.
