Fit Roof Rack

I'm sorry if there was another thread for this but I was lost in there. Can someone tell me what exactly to order for my 2009 Fit. I need a roof rack for my ski rack and I want to be able to remove said rack in the summer time. Thanks in advance for you assistance.

I've been looking into this a lot. Thule makes rack systems for 2008 Fits and I'm assuming they have one for 2009 as well. Just check there web sit. They have a great online system to setup a rack system for your car. Just put in your model info and choose what you need a rack for. The base is a removable crossbar system. Then all their specific purpose racks attach to it.
There is also a company called Perry Craft. They make a rail and crossbar system that gets permanently installed on your car. You can find local dealers/installers on their website. They also make attachments for specific purposes. Thule's pieces will also attach to their rail/crossbar system.

if you don't mind buying used, i recommend craigslist. for my last 3 cars (2000 jetta, 1994 volvo 850, 2009 honda fit), i've been able to use the same feet, load bars and bike trays. i just needed to buy a fit kit (rubber feet and clamps that are vehicle specific).

a whole set can quickly go upwards of $300.

i recommend you go to thule or yakima's website and "build a kit". then you'll know what parts you need. chances are that the only part you can't find on craigslist for a steal is the actual vehicle specific fit kit.

I would imagine that Thule would have a roofrack for the '09 fit. They had one for my focus when it was new, and it hadn't been out very long at that time.

Checking Craig's list is a great idea-- you might be able to save a good bit of money that way. I think I paid in total (with accessories for kayak loading) about 450.00 new for the racks on The Fungus (focus) HB.

I know you said ski rack, but if you also have to carry snowboards, than this would be a good option WinterRacks.com - your source for winter window racks....
