the wheels may be needing a re-balance

Ditto! Had something like that happen before on an old car of mine, and it needed a rebalance.

I'll vote for a rebalance as well. Next thing to look for would be a bad strut/shock.

You are running Rota's right?

Have you checked to make sure the hubcentric rings were installed. Without it you will get some vibrating.

Just out of curiosity, are you MT or AT?

If it's MT, when you push your shift knob to the right (toward the passenger door) does it go away?

Fit isn't necessarily the smoothest ride either. :b Maybe lower it to be more aerodynamic. :]

Steering wheel vibrations that come and go with speed changes is an indication that your wheels need balancing. It will not help to get a wheel alignment. Out of alignment does NOT cause speed related vibrations (unless you have gone so long with an out of alignment problem that your tires are worn cupped)

This probably doesn't apply to you since you live in Florida and probably drive on clean pavement all the time. But after driving in heavy rain or snow or on muddy roads, mud or ice often accumulates unevenly on the wheels just behind the spokes. So the car can be smooth one day and "shakin' all over" the next. Sometimes it shakes so bad, the dirt is shaken off the wheels - and then it's smooth again. But usually we have to take it to the car coin wash to blast all the mud or ice off with the wand. Be sure to clean the whole wheel, or you will just make the wheel more unbalanced. Whenever the tires are rotated is a good time to clean them too. Since we live out in the country, we spend as much money washing the wheels as we do washing the car.
