gas tank release

didnt know where to put this but any one got any ideas on how to make and electic gas release for the fuel cover i was thinking about using somthing like this eBay Motors: Jaguar 1995 XJ6 Fuel Lid Release Actuator (item 190105881838 end time Dec-18-07 09:47:53 PST) .... just so i dont have the little flap on the gas lid and no one can steel my gas...

You can pick up a locking gas cap from College Hills Honda or your local autopart store for a lot cheaper then that.

IMO though, we have a 10 gallon tank, I doubt people will try to siphon it from your tank when they can get more from the SUV and truck you see on the roads all the time.

Oooh. Umm, not 100% positive, but maybe look at a wrecked 8thgen civic and see if you can do a direct swap. Theirs is opened by cable IIR.

There's 10 feet of tubing between the gas cap and the gas tank... if they can manage to syphon anything out, they probably deserve to keep it...
I'de be more concerned about people putting something IN the tank.
