Ever peen cited for tint
#45
I'm just glad my car came with tint (dealer had installed). You gotta have it here in Tx, where it gets HOT in the summer. Maybe not as hot as, say, Arizona, but we get all that humidity from the Gulf. Not sure how dark the tint is, though. I need to look at the sticker on the car.
Every new car I've bought has came with tint the dealer had installed.

I just got rolled for 20% all around. $108 dollar fine, but the bitch didn't use a tint meter on it. So I am pleading not guilty, showing up in another car, and saying she eyeballed it saying it was not legal and win my case.

But I do not think it will work.

So what does that have to do with me showing up in a different car to the hearing? She did not use a tint meter, so obviously she eyeballed my windows and said it was illegal without any proof.

........
I just got a ticket for a my tints. I had limo tints all the way around. He gave me a ticket for the front and back. I just took off the tints yesterday. I love the tint less look but i hate the fact that i have to hide everything inside the car(cds and other valuables) every time i park. And Florida weather is a pain especially in hot temp. I know i can get legal tints but don't see the point of going that route, nosy people still can see inside the car.

dude, you should go take a test drive in a brand new fit and bring it to the police station to get it written off. what a brilliant plan!

Back when I lived in Orlando (around 92-96), I got pulled over twice in my 87 Integra when I had 20% tint all the way around and a 8" strip of tint also 20% on my windshield. They gave me a warning the first time and told me to take off the strip on the windshield redo it so that it would only be 6" instead of 8". Of course I did not take it off. A month later the same damn cop pulled me over but apparently did not remember me, gave me another warning about the tint.
I never got pulled over again. BUT i also never got tint on my 98 accord.
When i get my FIT though I'll most likely get tint 35% all the way around this time.
peace,

to bad it wouldnt work like that, since our tickets have our liscense plate numbers on it.
that would be rad though if i could borrow a friends fit.
oh snap, borrow a stock red fit haha and slap my plates on it. man thats too risky though

This thread is a trick question, can't be answered until you are ticketed for tint....
wow.. this is the dumbest thread I've seen.
You know the laws, you know the risk, get your fronts tinted in a state where it's illegal is your choice, and yours alone, there is a reason why tinters will not charge you for the front windows, but charge you more for the back ones, it's a way to save their own hides.
