Hey everyone, i sent jdp a meesage asking if they will be making a front lip for the 2012 Fit and he said that he doesnt mind developing one if theres enough interest. I need need to get 10 more people to join in in order for this to happen. anyone interested ?

We need people who will actually commit to this; meaning put a deposit down and actually pull through. The Base guys got it done!
Considering that even Honda doesn't make anything for the 2012's, let's atleast get a front lip!

Anyone good with photoshop? It would at least give a person an idea of the lines. Just for the record...I am not this person.

 

i don't think asking john to front his own cash or resources to get a mock up first before you even decide to spend any money is a good way of going at this.

as stated above it'll probably look similar to the '09-'11 sport lip. with that being said, you already get a general idea of what it'll look like. its not like the bumper's are in "totally different world" that there will be an extreme difference.

you can ask about photoshop this and photoshop that all you like, but if you want me to be honest, i'll tell you guys right now you'll never get anywhere unless you get some seriously dedicated people to put deposits down so john can get started on a prototype.

the main thing with interest threads is not to gauge who "wants" it, but to see if people will actually spend money on the product, and if you can't even make a deposit of 50 bucks (the usual) then why should production even proceed? remember john isn't coming after you guys for interest, you guys are going to him.

its always a gamble to tailor to a smaller crowd, so you guys have that much more to prove to him why he should make you guys a lip. moral of the story, you shouldn't be asking for photoshop pictures, you should be asking for deposits.

again, just trying to point you guys in the right direction. i already have my lip so what you guys do wont effect me in the lease bit.

If I'm the only one that's ready to put down a deposit then this isn't going to get anywhere. John does great work, I had the JDP lip on my 09 and I still have the rear diffuser on my '12. I don't exactly understand how you want one of us to go about photoshopping the lower ridge of the bumper black, it won't resemble the final JDP piece at all. With something like a carbon fiber front lip, you can't really photoshop a design.

Anyways, hope we can get more people in on this. If not I'm cool with rocking the stock bumper, or maybe even get a one-off made by JDP if this falls through.

 

Count me in on a deposit, I really want to get a Lip for my Fit! Lets go people!
