On another not... so all hoods received has some type of damage huh?

yeah. looks like the tips are still getting a lil' love tap (usually on one side or another of the recent batch). i think one suggestion of putting foam cones and wrapping it up tightly with masking tape until it makes a firm plastic insulated cone prob would've helped.
shipping woes aside. you have to admire that this is REALLY one nice piece of work.! (shame it couldnt be handled better in transit)

Same "issues" I had. I just cut about 1 cm off the rubber stopper and the hood closed just fine. Did you find another solution?

took off the pair of stoppers by the latch and kept both stoppers at corners. with a twist and repositioning of the stoppers it managed to shut tight but I might just shave the rubbers off to relieve pressure on the latch pulling the hood shut LOL last thing I want to happen is "pop" the latch off the hood

looks great! i'm gonna save me and my friend trouble and going to take it to the shop tmrw afternoon get it 'professionally' installed (for $35 Cnd) i'll bring the fitting issues about the rubber stoppers up to them to see what they can do about it. if they do something differently, i'll share it on here as well.

save your 35 pieces of silver and do it with your friends... it's really easy LOL I can even do it with just the hood stand holding it.

I completely agree, save your C$35 and do it yourself with friends. There is nothing to mess up, you are talking about 4 bolts. Or do you need to remove any of the latch mechanism from the stock hood? Even if that was needed, no point in paying somebody money for a 15 minute job if that.

lol. believe me. i managed to drop my grille flat on it's face the first time i was doing a DIY. (scuffed it up a bit, and the thing is practically weightless.) i can be pretty clumsy sometimes. so knowing me, and how much $$ is invested in this hood.. i can live with $35 out of my pocket. (as knowing me- i'd prob put a hole thru the plastic guard where the windshield spray nozzles are, crack a windshield (removing the OEM hood) shatter the mint condition corner of the cf hood and prob send my friend to the hospital for head injuries.. $35 CND is nothing. (in USD its like $5 and change i bet. despite how close the dollars are in comparison to their market values- like all things in Canada we still pay avg 15% more on everything and that's BEFORE taxes.) so whats another $35? i dont mind paying a lil extra to get it done right. thenx for the advice tho.

So what are ya gonna do with your magnetic hood bra? Just curious cause I have one too lol.

These hoods are lookin damn good btw minus the few that took a little damage. Makes me wanna buy one

As for the rubber hood stopper... all you need to do is remove the 2 right by the latch. As for the other two, with a screwing motion, apply force and screw in to point forward in an angle... no stopper shaving or cutting required.
