Just throwing this out there.

Ive seen allot of cars started getting carbon fiber fender replacements as well as other carbon fiber parts. I wanted to know what you guys would think of carbon fiber OEM replacement fenders.

The photoshop is bad because they just look black. I made the weave too small. But I guess its realistic because from that distance you probably wouldn't see the weave anyways. It would most likely look good on dark colored fits or white ones.

Im jus tputting it out there. Im not sure what to expect. Ones for the Scion tC go for $600 new. The fenders for the fit are so small they can be measured in shoe sizes so Id expect them to be maybe $400 - 500 for the pair. New ones run $130 - $175 so probobly around $200 each in carbon fiber. Maybe cheaper I never really looked at the fenders in person.

it would look nice on a race prep fit, but on a fit like the one above.. it looks terrible

to get a true cf fender is going to be MUCH more than 400-500 for the pair. first, you have to buy test parts and send them off to have a mold made, then you have to get them made. right there would be about 350 a fender. even to get an overlay on the stock fenders would be alot (even tho an overlay for a body part is stupid and ricer). im sure corrman or someone will make cf pieces for the jdm fit, but i wouldnt expect anything for the usdm fit. sorry to burst your bubble. if you do get them made, much props.

No problemo at all bud! Everything from A to Z would be my work. Id purchase the fenders and make the molds myself, then make the CF from the molds. Id sell them for $4 - 500 im saying. The fenders and materials at the end would probably end up costing 5 - 700.

two things

ONE : the day i see carbon fiber doors available for a fit, i'll go into debt buying everthing carbon i can, i know they make fenders, ft/rr bumpers, hood, hatch, full lip kits, spoilers, seats, mirrors, but even with all those installed on a fit it's still too heavy IMHO to time attack competitively, but if doors were carbon, holy shit i'd FOR SURE SWAP IN A K AND SC, and try like hell to make a name for the fit
TWO : The day honda brings a awd fit to america, I'LL OWN ONE!!! (MORE IN ANOTHER THREAD ABOUT THIS)
