GI - Badgeless Trunk Handle
Well its been ready to sell for 2 weeks now but whered all the interest go!
2003 - 2008 Honda Fit Badgeless Garnishes w/ or w/ out the wiper hole!
Super high quality structure and fit (no pun intended). These garnishes are built of 2 layers of thick fiberglass and 1 layer of 7oz fiberglass cloth for extra strength and a smooth finish to the back side. After demolding they are trimmed for proper fitment and flushness.
How do they attach on? The stock garnishes come with 5 clips and one bold. Ours are slightly different. Ours are held on by 6 bolts. Super easy to install, just align the bolts with the holes, push the garnish in, and thread the nuts from the other side. The garnish comes with all necessary hardware. What if the bolts dont align with the hole? Well not to worry because our bolts swivvel. We do our best and try our hardest to put the bolts in the proper place but if they are off by a mm or 2 need not to worry, just turn the bolt and itl fit. And no the swivle bolts dont mean its a weaker hold. Their just as strong as if the bolts were held down with out rotation.
Alright guys, since not many are ordering this Im going to lower this price as far as I can for a short time to really brake this product in......

Ill have to look into that. Its illegal to make shapes of emblems and copy written logos. Thats why when they make after market OEM bumpers in stead of a Pontiac or Chevy shaped emblem placement place in the front its either not there or its just a square.
If anything you can always place the emblem on the flat surface maybe?

^^^ The one from Honda probably costs 100 - 150 plus maybe 200 + for a shop to do it and paint it. I worked at a few shops I know. its much easier to do one, make a mold, and replicate them which is what I plan to do. But even thats easier said than done.
Mine could be up to or more than 1/3rd cheaper than having a shop do it.
P.S Lifetime warranty!

It is roughly $40 for this panel from honda. I saw the whole assembly of it on benardi including logo and everything from $51.00-$68.00 looks like price changes depending on color ( don't quote me on the benardi stuff tho there site is confusing at times. )
The member that had this done by a body shop said he paid roughly $40 for the panel pre painted for your car color. I will ask him how much it cost him to have it done at the shop if he doesn't mind telling.
edit: Finished reading what he posted and he says the body shop shaved down his rear panel so there was no h repainted it and also touched up and painted a grille for him ( j's racing ) for $120.
So in all he paid less than $160 to buy the rear panel have the h shaved down and painted. Guess I would have to talk to someone that has just had their grille painted by a shop to see how much you could take off the $160 to figure out how much he would have paid for just the rear panel being painted and shaved.

^ 60 bucks aint bad at all! That does change the price but then again different shops have different prices and rates. I see this now being around $150 now instead of a high of $199.99
Ill be looking into this more tonight and tomorrow.

So here are my prices worked out...
Unpainted w out wiper would be $99.99 Fit Freak Price - $89.99
Unpainted w wiper would be $109.99 Fit Freak Price $99.99
Painted w out wiper would be $159.99 Fit Freak Price $149.99
Painted w wiper would be $169.99 Fit Freak Price $159.99
Those aren't final prices but thats what I plan them to be. I still need to see the difficulty of the mold and production which might raise or decrease the price by $10.00
I really cant go any cheaper because take into consideration each garnish would be made from possibly 3 or 4 part molds. Then adhesion promoted, primered, sanded, sealed, painted, cleared, wet sanded, buffed, polished, and covered with a life time warranty. Thats allot of work and a great guarantee. Not to mention amazing quality!

The thing is yes it should be only $100 to fabricate and paint, but its not because it takes more time then that. Most shops charge $50 - $65 dollars an hr for body and paint work. The panel costs $68 from Honda. It takes at least 2 hrs to do this perfectly from start to finish. Then you need to include materials (paints, sand paper, etc) Say labor is $50 an hr. So the cost is now $168.00 Then add in $25 for paints and materials (Including fiberglass and bondo) Then your at $193.00
That one guy on here said he paid a shop $120 to have it done + what ever the cost of the panel is. Why buy mine when I start producing it? Because I guarantee quality, guarantee it will last, and itl be better then having a stock one chopped and rebuilt. The chopped and rebuilt ones over time can seperate because of the stress put on the panle from opening and closing the hatch. But if its one entire piece that was derived from a mold as one piece, then theres no chance of that happening.
Its the quality your paying for
Not to mention we offer rebates if the customer returns us high quality pictures of the product
The lowest price I saw the panel for was $50 w out tax at Bernardi I think the site is called. The dealer charges $68.78. Im not including the cost of the stock panel, Im basing the price off of the stock price and what it would cost to have the job done, with a mix of me buying the panel, modifying it, then somehow making a rubber mold of it which is way more expensive then fiberglass. Then I have to figure out a way to create the back of the panel to hook up to the car. Which brings me to my next question... Does anybody have a picture of what the back looks like?
