Brother, I'm glad I brought a chuckle to your lips!

Believe it, or not, even I have made mistakes (in the distant past ), so let's give John a chance.

Life is too short to hold a grudge, and everything works out in the end, God willing. I'm getting too old to think otherwise!

Besides, PM is made for these other types of exchanges.

Later...

Alright guys I have good news and bad news.

Good news is I dropped off my grille and I brought him a door handle so he can make door lock plugs. Also I have pictures of the rear garnish on my back hatch and it looks very nice.

Now for the bad news. The bolts were all just a tiny bit off. They fit in the holes fine just didn't allow the piece to sit perfectly flush in place. I have pictures to explain more.

As you can see best in the last picture the rear garnish is supposed to meet up flush underneath the weather stripping there but the bolts need to be remounted so they don't hit on the holes that they fit into that will allow the garnish to move up and fit perfectly

Looks like I need to go back down when he has another piece ready for me that way I can officially pic up the official final piece and at that time I will also be able to pick up my grille and maybe some door lock plugs This will have to happen after Christmas. I don't know if he can meet up before New Years so there is a chance we can finish this before new years but we might not be able to meet up again until after the new year.

If I order one and the bolts don't go in like yours, well that's gonna cause me problems. What if he finishes making yours correct, then makes a mold of yours. Is that possible, and would that mean it would fit everyone else's Fit like it fits yours? (phew a lot of fits lol). Though it looks gorgeous! I just dislike the middle piece that kinda goes up a tiny bit directly in the center. Not the piece's fault, it's the glass.

First off! thank you for all the support to anybody who defended me or gave me support. You dont know how much it means to me. Ive made many mistakes before. Still am working on refunding (2 or 3 people if that out of the 30 group buyers... Not a bunch like he stated Dont stretch the truth buddy! No hard feelings though ) But like others have said and Ive said as well. Im just looking to restart and gain back trust and the only way is to continue with great ideas, not mess up, and repair what I have messed up at the same time if possible.

Other then that about the garnish. Yes it does look amazing but I put the bolts off by not even 1/5th of an inch you can see there. Still not bad for the first garnish to be completed but still isnt good enough.

You ask what if you have the same problem? No chance of that. After brain storming for a little bit I thought simply. What if you need to move the bolts? But you cant? So how about I make it so you can?

All the studs now will be able to swivel up, down, left, right so that when you place the garnish you can hand tighten the nuts. The ability to swivel will allow you to effortlessly shift the garnish up, down, left, or right until you get the desired fit. Very simple to do, and I will be using a super strength epoxy to secure each stud base down which will house the stud head.

Ill post pictures to show examples tomorrow.

Here is how the bolts will go.

You can see a little nylon base that the screw sits in snugly. The screw is straight in this picture.

In this picture the screw is tilted to the right,

And in this one its to the left.

This is to show that the studs have the ability to rotate in any direction which will assure you that any garnish will fit. I will of coarse still pay extra attention to putting them in the right place so that they go in smoothly, but if the studs are off by 1/5th of an inch which was the issue when fitcapo came over. At least now we can move the studs to the right place.

All the studs will be the same. Nylon hollow base epoxied down with the stud in it moving freely. 3 different lengths of studs (the length is chosen so its not in the way of other instruments such as the wiper motor) A washer and then the nut.

I was going to use nuts with felt on one side for waterproofing but thats not needed since I will be putting a 1/4th inch foam tape aroundd the garnish to water seal it. Thats what they use originally on the factory garnishes.

P.S the piece the stud is on is not a garnish. Its just a piece of scrap fiberglass.

And P S S. The epoxy is clear and it just took a few drops to secure that nylon base down. I tried pulling on it. And I would've cracked the fiberglass before the epoxy would've came off. Its a super strong bond. That on 6 studs will keep the garnish on even in the most abusive situations. But I still don't recommend tugging on it.

I am very interested in getting one of these. Like some of the other members I would like to see the final product before I plop down my money. It is just too damn hard to come by for some of us. Anyway, I look forward to seeing the finished product and hope to do business with you in the future. Also, what is the pricing on a badgeless garnish with the wiper hole. It seems like it has bounced around and I would like to know what I need to come up with.

Can't wait to see the front badgeless grill

No problem bud! Ill let you know as soon as its done and ready to put on the car!

As for the pricing Im going to reprice both the garnishes at the same price and Ill update you guys as soon as I have it done. The price will most likely be $69.99 - $79.99 for an unpainted finish that will come in gloss blue or gloss white. Im gonna start using blue die in my gel coat because some companies do white, black, yellow, pink, but I never saw blue. Its just a nice way to see it when you open the box. And also forces you to primer or at least use sealer before the color goes on. Yes a shop will charge maybe 10 more dollars but if they dont do that your risking the paint pealing or imperfections. ALWAYS PRIMER.

So, how does it work? Will you make them in batches, or will you make them simply as the orders come in.Also, about how long is the turn around from ordering to receiving the product. Lastly will you be using Pay Pal by any chance. Thanks again.

I have one mold now so Ill be making one at a time, Ill be making a new mold so then I can make more at a time. Ill be working on building stock but if orders are placed often enough that I cant keep stock then it will seem like its built to order. But I should have at least 3 - 4 finished a week, 5 - 8 with 2 molds. The turn around time will be 1 - 2 weeks or sooner (just like if you were ordering any other body part from another company) But if its in stock then it would go out with in 1 - 2 days or same day if in stock and ordered early day.

I do accept pay pal but believe it or not if you send a check priority mail with the local post office the check gets here in 2 days. When I use paypal I need to wait until the money transfers into the bank in most cases which takes 4 days avg. But yes paypal is accepted

Thanks for the reply. Have you made one with the new adjustable bolts yet? I was wondering if the fit issue from before has been solved.
