Who wants a custom sub enclosure for $100!!

Hi,

I'm new to this forum but not new to building sub boxes. I'm looking at building a new design of sub boxes for the honda Fit. I see that the sub enclosure area is lacking, after searching around on the forum. I have built numerous boxes for 350z's and other friends cars. Below are some pictures of some of the things I have built just to give you an idea.

2007 Nissan 350z- 3 8" subs

- 2 8" subs

- 1 10" sub

I'm looking to keep the boxes as cheap as possible but a high quality product, probably color matched carpet over 3/4" MDF. Or maybe even vinyl if you wanted it. It would probably be some sort of pressure fitted design, (it wouldn't look like just some generic autozone/walmart box that rolls around your trunk.)

Only catch, I'm located in St Louis Mo. I would need a car to make templates and take measurements so that the first box could be made. If someone located near st. Louis would like to help me out, I could make the first box for you, free of charge!!

Let me know of you would be interested, just start making a list, I'm trying to see if I would be able to sell these. First 5 people who are interested gets them for $100.

I'm very interested. I looked behind the passenger side rear pannel, and am thinking about building a fiberglass enclosure in there, but would love to see what you come up with

UPDATE:

I'm working on a few ideas right now, the only problem is that its hard for me to judge the scale when I don't have a Fit available. I'm getting a Fit (for a test drive) from a dealership in the next few days so that I can make the first prototype enclosure. I'm going to be posting a few pictures of ideas in the next few hours, stay tuned..........

IDEA 1-

Here is an idea that I have come up with that may/may not be to scale. This is just to give you a possible idea of what it may look like. I really struggled on the right side to understand exactly what was over there so its probably way off. BTW- Sorry if this is your car, I just found a picture on cardomain and used it, because it was the best quality that I found.

It seems that a fiberglass box is wanted by all. I used to have a 2005 civic si, its a very similar car. I made a fiberglass box for it, I may have to attempt it in a Fit.

To do this I'm going to need the paneling out of the rear hatch area. If anyone has it available, let me know I'm ready to buy.

I would be interested if it weren't so big of a box. Since I bought a Fit for the space it has at carrying things, I'd like to try and minimize the space used for the box. Anybody else feel the same?

I thought about this to, maybe having a box built into the floor with a removable cover, so that you can show the subs off when you weren't hauling things. I'm still not 100% sure what i'm going to do since I haven't even seen one yet.

ah, you see the trim where the cover would lay? Looks to be about a 1-2inche gap.
