Need to know what sizes fit!

Have an 09 fit sport with the stock wheels. I have 195/50/16 on now. My question is whats the max size i can fit on the rim. Can i fit a 205/55/16 without a problem? Is there enough enough space?

That's not really how it works.

You need to find the width of your wheel. Try Google. Once you find the wheel width, then figure out what brand and model tire you want. Most tire manufactures will list their section width and recommended rim width range for each tire in each size that they make. If you wheels width falls within the recommended rim width range you should be good to go. Tire Rack is very good at providing the manufactures specs in their descriptions.

In regard to space. So when you Google search your wheels for width write down what the offset is, you will also need that. There are online tools that will tell you how much closer to the strut or outside of the vehicle along with speedo error for wheel and tire changes. You will still need to visually verify there is clearance.

I'm sorry, I'm tired and also tired of being someones "Easy Button" and just providing the answer. You should be able to figure it out, it's not that difficult.

Good Luck

i ran 205/50/16's on the factory wheels in the past. fits fine.

if you are worried, i believe the factory wheels were 6" or 6.5" width, check the tire's specs for the min and max rim widths allowed.

for example: DWS06 205/50/16 has a range 5.5" to 7.5" rim width range for compatibility.

yah, the 16x6 or 16x6.5 indication on the back side of the wheels you mean right? i cant remember off hand with the factory wheels, but most wheels do have that.
