Lightest stock size wheel

Since this is my DD i'm going to play the fuel economy game. What wheel options are available that are still in the Sport parameters? I don't want a wider wheel/tire combo for daily use because it will affect MPG.

So far i've seen a few Rotas, Buddy Club, and Kosei wheels that are incredibly light for their size.

Anyone found some good light wheels?

So far i've found the Enkei RPF-1 weights 9.5 lbs at around 220 bucks apiece and the Buddy Clubs weigh 9.13 lbs at around 360 bucks apiece, so the RPF1 seems like the best buy for the money.

Any other extremely lightweight wheels come to mind?

ssr type c 15x6 at 8.8 lbs is the lightest wheel you will find that will hold up to the abuse of real street driving. there are lighter drag wheels but they would likely shatter on our o so "smooth" roads in the u.s. oh and there the exact same size as the stock sport wheel

negative, for this guy i would recommend the volk ce-28n's in 15x5.5 or 15x6.5 which weigh 7.7lbs and 8.1 lbs respectively

If you're dropping that much on rims to save gas money...you should probably calculate how many miles you're gonna have to drive to make them pay off!

Thumbs up

YEAH...You should calculate the milage that you'll have to drive in oder to pay them off... the Cups are nice but pretty pricy... I got them cause not many people have them and I got good deal on them... $1100 for the set instead of $1700 ($425/wheel)... expensive but I couldn't resist such a good deal.

Iam not sure how you would do that since every mile you put on your car degrades the value..

He means how many miles (mpg) he would have to drive to accomodate the price he spent on wheels. For example, if he spent $5.00 for wheels and it would cost $5.00 to fill up his tank but with the new wheels he got double the MPG. He would then have made back the money he spent for the wheels with one one full tank. (I know wheels don't cost $5 nor does a full tank. just an example to show show what MIRRORWORKs and I mean.)

Yea, I know exactly what he means. I want to get nicer wheels than the stock one, so its an appearance thing as well. I just don't want to spend money on something that will perform worse, I might as well buy something that looks good AND benefits the car...I've got 17x7.5" on my Accord when stockers were 15x6.5", with the wider tires, size, and lighter weight, I enjoy it, but I suffered a slight drop in fuel economy, with a car that already got 23mpg. So as long as i'm in the market, ya know, might as well buy the lightweight one...

I like teh Volks a lot, but theyre almost twice as much as every other wheel for only about a pound and a half of weight savings, i'd be better off just getting the RPF1s, I like the style anyway so i'm already deciding on cost to benefit ratios :-P

Just a thought, I got a set of these from C2Auto, here's the thread https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/c2auto-com/6793-konig-heliums-15x6-5-light-weight-only-10-8lbs.html 10.8lbs each 15x6.5 and they damn sure won't break the bank, for less than $400 shipped you can't beat that for a full set of wheels. If you'd like to see them on my car, http://hasafraker.com/gallery/Fit?page=2 Enjoy
