Federal 595 RS-R
Anyone here have an opinion on these? Less than $400 for 4 for 205/50/16, 140TW. See some good reviews on NAISOC/EvoM/other forums, the phrase "best bang for the buck" thrown around a lot. I'm familiar with Federal's tires but i've never seen the RS-R in action, so thanks for input if you have any.
Don't care about ride comfort or noise.

I do recall people talking about them needing heat to function... but since the ambient temp that day was in the 90's and it was a relatively high speed course people were having no trouble...
I'm trying a new tire combo myself, the 225 45 15 Hankook RS3's in front and a set of 195 50 15 Toyo R1R's in the back.... comes highly recommended for AutoX...

Hankook RS-3 vs Dunlop Z1SS vs Federal 595 RS-R vs Bridgestone RE-11 - S2KI Honda S2000 Forums
Great comparison of tires here from a S2K driver....
Not 100% applicable to our cars but worth a read

IGNORE ME.... min tread ware is 140 in ST classes DUH.... It's the RT (Road Tire) classes that are banning a ton of the 140 tread ware tires...

But then again I always had fun on 615's, so I suppose it can't be any worse than that

The place I saw people running them was out at the Castle Air Force auto cross in Atwater. I am headed there again this Sunday so I will ask around and see if I can get more feed back.
Also if your looking for awesome deals on tires, PM JDMxGE8. Matt is awesome and is hooking me up with my new Toyo's!
