Recommendations for 14" alloys for base Fit?
I've got a base model fit MT and was curious if anyone had some recommendations for some decent and simple alloy wheels to use with the stock tires. I checked out TireRack and they have a few, but I know nothing about wheels and the associated brands / manufacturers.
I also read somewhere that some Civic 14" wheels might work. Anyone with experience here?
Thanks.

Around $240 to $360. I was looking at the 14" Sport Edition D3's at TireRack.com, but I don't know anything about them.
I have the same fit as you, kkim - an unmodified storm silver manual transmission base fit.

The Kosei K1 TS:

very lightweight, reasonably priced, excellent quality AND available at TireRack.

What's your reason for wanting to upgrade the wheels? If just for looks, I think any civic wheel would most likely work.
On my car, I knew I would be changing out the wheels/tires as soon as I bought the car... in fact, it was switched a few hours after buying the car. I run 15x7 wheels w/ 205-50x15 tires.
If performance is what you are seeking, lighter weight wheels with some good performance tires would be the way to go. Unfortunately, most of the better tires are in 15" sizes, which is why I went to that size.
So, if performance is not your main goal and are just looking to upgrade the looks of the 14" stockers, try seeking out some used OEM alloys from various years of Civics.... my guess is that most of them would work as long as they have the 4x100 bolt pattern.
Good luck w/ your SS FIT. I'm at 1500 miles and loving every (s)mile.

I decided the Kosei lightweights wouldn't stand up to my local potholes, so for my base Fit MT, I got the Borbet CA 14 x 6 wheels from Tirerack, installed by a local speed shop that's on the tirerack list-- thanks, Jim!. They're not a lot less heavy than the steelies, but they look SO much better, they use the original tires, and were a third less money than the Kosei's. I'm very satisfied, and will get 185/60's for them when the OEM tires eventually wear out.

I don't have a digital camera, but if you gert into www.tirerack.com & choose 2007 Honda Fit, with 14" wheels, they're one of the choices (and you can see them on your color Fit (although it will be a Sport model).

I found these 14" alloy wheels on ebay that are from an older civic del Sol. They look somewhat similar to ths sport model fit wheels. Is it just the picture or do these wheels have a slight bronze finish
