Handling issues: 17" verse 18" wheels.
#23
Jim is definetly the right person to answer this question. From experience, I had a 95 Prelude that I had 15, 16,17 and 18 inch wheels on. I felt that the 17 inch wheels gave me the best performance and still provided a comfortable ride. The 18s were to big and I definetly felt the lack of torque. It takes more energy to turn larger wheels because all of the weight is spread out on the outside of the wheel. I think 17s would look good on the Fit but I think 16s would give you the best performance/comfort. It would need to be lowered to get rid of the fender gap regardless of which size rim you get. We have a customer that had driven with the stock 15s and then came in and had the HFP 16s installed. He brought it back a week or two later and complained that it felt different, less powerfull. It should, so I cant even imagine 18s on the Fit.

Even if you are going to lower the car I would recommend doing either the springs first and then wheels and tires or the opposite way. That way you can see and tell what you did to the car. If you do the wheels and tires and springs all together you won't be able to feel the difference.
If I can help let me know.
