i am planning on getting the Konig Runaway on 17x7 +40 offset with goodyear eagle gt 215/45/17.
just want to know if anyone has any suggestions or feedback on that or should i go with different size tires? will they rub?

Rubbing will happen most likely at the rear fender if you have too low an offset or too wide wheels. If offset is too low the wheel/tire sticks out of the fender. If you have a load of people or cargo at the back that's when the rear fender rubbing will manifest.
205/40R17 should be okay. I have a GD1 and correct offset is more critical on GDs. I think GEs can accept 7"-wide wheels with a minimum of +43 offset without rubbing (any higher offset is also good).
If your wheels are slightly narrower, e.g. 6.5", you can run a little less offset without rubbing - about +38.
