+32 offset question and 205/50/16 tire question
#22
great debate danielg and mahout, i knew the basics of wheel/tire fitment but the information the both of you left in this thread helped me understand it on a mathmatical level.
a little perspective for the OP. i run a 15x7 +40 rim with 205/50/15 tires, i'm on skunk2 pro-c coilovers with about a 2.5" drop up front and 2" drop in the rear. i do experience light rubbing on hard turns and drop-offs. however, i rub A LOT when there are people in the back seats.
i pulled back the fender lining and it helped a bit up front. i think with a light fender pinch i'll be clear of rubbing on all four corners

I have 15x7 +32 offset and stock 195's on my car, lowered on eibach sportline springs (the not so aggressive set) and they rub every dip I hit on the interstate. Not that you shouldn't do it though because we need more fits with lower offsets!!! haha. But a 6 inch wide wheel with a +32 is not going to stick out as much as a 7" so you may have less problems. I dunno.

Thanks tougerunner86 for your experience. I will not be dropped super low or even to normal low. I will be getting the swift springs later on which will just give me a minor lowered stance.

danger69, I am running a similar wheel setup to what you're asking about. Mine however are 15x6.5 +32 with 195/50's. I'm dropped on Progress springs which have a subtle drop just as the Swift springs do (if i remember correctly) and i do not rub whatsoever. If I were you i would opt for 195/50's to be pretty safe but as i've read on the forum, for some reason you really can't tell with all fit's. good luck.
