just got some meshies

so i picked up a set of LS mesh wheels, they look nice but im going to paint them and i need new tires. i really want to go green with them but ill probably end up doing graphite, bronze, or gunmetal.

what about tire sizes? do you think a 205/55/r15 will be good with no rub?

gimmie some ideas! my car is silver storm metallic so i am thinking of leaning towards gunmetal. (i really want green but my girl isnt to crazy about it :0( )

205/50/15 would be better for the fit

what about tire sizes? what are the advantages of 195/55/15 vs 205/50/15 besides that 205 is just a hair wider?

not any real advantage other than the 205 is a bit wider. IMO id keep the stock tire size.

all the wider tire will do is give you worse mpg, although VERY small of a difference, probably unnoticable.

the 205/55/15 is a better match per size differnence per the tire calculators. I am getting some 15's and go that way. BUt to each his own

if you're lowered why not get 195/50/15's?

i just finished doing the wheels. i went with graphite, 3 of them look sick the last one is going to need to be redone when my finger heals from spraying paint for hours i forgot to get the EZ spray nozzle attachment trigger thingy. i think im gonna do 195/55/15 i saw them today and they have a nice look. decent sidewall strength and not too chunky.

the reason why i said "lowered" and "195/50/15" is not due to rubbing, but rather the smaller circumference = better gearing for acceleration. and if you're lowered, it wont have that gapin' old man's missing teeth look.

just wanted to clarify if anyone was confused.

shit man....i ran the 50 series and when those tires are new...THEY have some meat...i can only imagine the 55 series.

they will handle a lot better once you get rid of some tread.

i am gonna drop the car in a couple months. can i get any suggestions on where to get springs and what brand to go with? im thinking a 1.5 front and 1.8 rear drop will be fine for my needs. i am looking at the skunk2 set on ebay for like $175. is there any where that has them for a better price? im not gonna do shocks cuz this is not gonna see a roadcourse or any kind of racing anytime soon.

ive been keeping an eye out, i even got desperate and tried to pur electrical conduit caps on them but it was a fail. i saw that on honda-tech, i got these wheels for 100 bucks i could never justify spending 140 on center caps

i recommend the eibach sportlines. but thats just me.

i ran s.techs but didnt really like the drop in the rear.

build your own center caps from honda. its like 10 bucks.
theres a diy on it on some forum i just cant remember if its on this one or not.
