Painted Stock Wheels
#70
Hello all,
New to fitfreak. Drive an '09 sport MT blue sensation pearl.
Smashed it up a bit last winter in the snow on the crap stock tires, getting winter ones this year.
Found a set of black steelies from an '09 base model for a good price from a fitfreak member in town (thanks again dude) & in great shape. Gettin me some blizzaks shipped to mount on the steelies.
I'm in St Louis, so won't actually have to use them more than 2-3mos of the year & for occasional road trips to Colorado & Chicago.
Rather than do something sensible and splurge for alloys, I'm looking to do something with these steel rims (no cover) for fun that's:
-a little bit foolish.
-maybe even somewhat goofy looking
-something no more than 5% of people would find cool.
Oddly enough, that's how people usually describe me.
Looking for ideas.
Right now I'm thinking to go thru those steps in this thread from honda-tech, see how close I can match the paint to the blue sensation pearl of the car, and leave a strip around the outer edge of the rim thats kinda chrome looking.
Thoughts? Open to suggestions...
Thanks much!

[quote=britdevine;980432]On the stock Sport Rims GE8, is it hard to get the inside of the wheel painted when doing this. It just seems with the spokes it might be hard to get the width of the wheel painted behind the spokes?
Paint the back side 1st flip'em over and paint the fronts.
