They say the black is a gloss and looks just like the pic i have. So should i opt for those guys what do u think?? I really need some one to photo shop those on my car if they look good i will buy tonight

just get them through tirerack or something...

but black wouldn't look bad,
and neither would silver.

and 40 offset will definitely fit, and if you have any problems rubbing it should be an easy fix.

Tirerack does not carry them. But JLb will give them to me for 489 shiped to me. Now i am going to call to see how much with wheels shiped see if i can get a good deal if i buy both together. I thought that was a good price.

They'll most likely rub. +45 is the magic number for GD wheel offset

It might depend on what rubber you shod them with, though. I know a few people who have +40 offsets but can still pull it off with the "right" kind of tire...

I don't quite understand it fully, but what they're looking for is how the "shoulder" joint between the tread and sidewall is constructed. If it's a certain shape it will avoid rubbing. "Rounded" tire shoulders seem the most likely to rub.

Um, sorry buddy but you are completely wrong. I'm lowered on Progress springs and have +42 offset rims and have never rubbed (see sig pic). The only other offset for my rims was +35... I regret not getting those

Yea i thought with a 40 mm offset or higher it would not rub. I am going on those Tr1 coils as low as i can on these rims. Should look sick i am not worried about the comfort of the ride to much. Can't wait i will take pics and post as soon as the wheels and coils are installed

+42 is the bare minimum without rubbing.

But I ain't wrong. The stock GD wheel offsets are clearly +45. Stick to those when you upsize your wheels and you won't go wrong, no rubbing at all. That's why it's the "magic number." The only time you'll rub with +45 offset is with crazy widths or sick drops.

:SIGH: 2 errors chief...

1. It is possible to have a lower offset than +42 without rubbing
2. The stock GD wheel offsets are clearly +55

Maybe where you come from. Over here the GD1s had stock 14x5.5 wheels, clearly stamped +45. The ASEAN GD3s had stock 15s with the same offset, not sure about the width.

Over here, +40 offset wheels can get away without rubbing but they're now dependent on the shape of the tires' shoulders like I mentioned. Either be really picky with tires or run coilovers. GD311 (who's also a member here and also comes from the Phils.) runs Work Equipt 01s with +38 offset and they don't rub...only because he also runs Tein coilovers (can't remember which, Super Compact or Basic Compact). He had rubbing all over the place when he still had stock dampers and springs.

I guess the GD Fits/Jazzes on our shores are built a little differently. I thought the only differences were the longer bumpers and front-end chassis rail for US crash regs. Apparently even the "acceptable" offsets are different.
