Anyone running aggressive fitments?
#3
Yea there are plenty of people running an aggressive wheel fitment. I know FELIXY69 is for his VIP style Fit. and I AM RAY has run low offsets before, I think he might have even done +0mm or damn close to it. I think Fit4trav has +15mm offset as well. That's three people right off the top of my head and I know there are others, so yes there are people running aggressive wheel fitments.

A search would and wouldnt help you. It wouldnt help you as a hand full run lower offsets. But it would help you as there are a few running low offsets.
Best fitment IMO, is a 30 to 25mm offset in a 15x7 or 15x8in wheel.
It all depends on what you want?

^^^Well a 15x7 +25 wheel would be 1" shorter width wise from a 15x8 +25. The main difference though would be where the wheel mounts on the hub. With some simple calculations 1" roughly equals 25mm. so a 15x7 w/ a 0 offset would sit exactly how a 15x8 +25. Again this is a rough estimation you would still have to take into effect back spacing and some wheel manufacturers make a low disk, super low disk, and normal disk, which also affects how the wheel sits on the hub.
Hope that makes some sense.

Close but not totally correct. Offset is measured from the center line of the rim to the mounting face. If you use the 7" and 8" wide wheels as an example, if both wheels have a 0mm offset (the mounting face is directly in line with the wheel's center line) the edge of the 8" rim would sit 1/2" further out toward the fender AND 1/2" closer to the fender well/suspension. This is a very useful for figureing out wheels sizes and offsets. Wheel / tire size calculator / comparer - RIMS-N-TIRES

Going too aggressive puts a large amount of stress on the control arms, axles, etc. It really depends on the vehicle. AE86 and Miatas are fine with extremely low offsets.

Negative offsets on the Fit is too much. If you want a nice stance go wider with a higher offset (+30mm) or not so wide with a lower offset.
From previous wheels Ive had 25mm is the lowest Id run.
Even that involves rear 1/4 rolling and some front fender rolling/pulling.
