This was mentioned earlier in the thread. At any rate, you might be able to solve your problem with these sensors:

It appears that you can program these sensors to match the unique ID's of your current sensors such that when you swap the wheels, your car's ECU doesn't know the difference.

Anyone else have the issue of all of their TPMS sensors going bad? I had one go bad just before the warranty expired at 36,000 miles. It was repaired under warranty and then shortly after that (~40,000 miles) the light came back on. My dealer informed me that the other 3 sensors were no longer working. They said that they could replace them for $60 each. I told them that if all I can expect to get is 40,000 miles before they all die again, I don't need them. The sales rep then stated that they don't typically see this issue on any of their other cars and that the sensors should last 100,000+ miles. I asked how long the repair would be warrantied if I got the bad sensors replaced. She said 12,000 miles.

My TPMS system light is still on.

I got it figured out. TPMS = Traffic Pattern Monitoring System. Each of the 4 sensors broadcasts its own unique serial number to a receiver somewhere in the car to light up the idiot light on the dash or feed more data to the traction control (if your car has that too) According to other info I found on the www, the sensors signal can reach up to 100 feet. Of course your car computer needs to recognize its own tires and not get confused by other signals in traffic, hence the code registration by the dealer for $100. BTW, the codes have to be done in proper order so the traction control knows which wheel/tire is slipping.
Eddy Snowdenn hasn't yet released the papers that say the gubermint has secret tpms receivers
installed all over the place as another means of tracking our whereabouts. At customs, toll booths, those highway cams that measure traffic speed, bridges that have those surface conditions monitors, etc. You can bet the spooks have the tpms codes (from the dealer info) matched to the vin numbers matched to your state's dot records.

Thank you, thank you. Elvis has left the building.

Correct. I don't care for TPMS, but I need to be able to turn off traction control. Anyone know how to get rid of both?

You can unplug the vsa diable button and force a fault that will disable the TC and VSA. You have to drive for about 2 minutes before the fault will be detected. To undo just plug the button back in and restart the car.

In my 2013 Base Model US Fit the TPMS Light has been stuck on, but when a tire is low the low tire light is displayed instead. The only thing about this that is upsetting is that I cant turn traction control off while the TPMS is throwing its fit.
