Snow tires for sport wheels?
#3
I think I'll be getting blizzaks. Have been recommended by a lot of people saying they really do great on ice and do just fine in the snow also. I just hope I'll be able to adjust to a car half a ton lighter than my lesabre in the winter lol.
I also was thinking of umm pirelli snow carvers I think they are but was told to try the blazzaks instead.

Dec or Jan I just put back the stock tires, I have my car parked underground so piece of cake to do the job by myself, until the freaking winter is fully over, usually end of March...
Also if you have expensive wheels like mine http://enkei.com/jpeg%20files/Wheels/EVO%206%20hb1.jpg I hate running them in bad road conditions, ice banks or lots of salt on the road...
Chris
PS Just curious, why did you take the Fit logo off and any marks after that?

Saying Blisak doesn't really help. Actually it doesn't help.
That's like saying people recommend Goodyear... there's a million choices. Blisak is a brand.
But either way its a moot point without first hand experience.
Anyways, I have Konid Heliums on the car now with the factory 15" Dunlops. I kept the stock Sport 15's with the intention of putting snow tires on them.
As for the emblem.... less is more.
Despite how trendy it might be at the time no car looks good with stickers or emblems advertising it to be something its not, and EVERY car looks beter without emblems. Its just a shame the front and rear "H" emblems have holes underneith them so they have to stay

a - blizzak isn't a brand, they're made by bridgestone ![Wink](https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
b - sorta comin off like a dick who didn't want any recommendations to start with.
merely stated what I'll be using this winter in ND. if you want an actual model.
Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25 or ws 60's, iono yet.

Some observations on the snow tires I've used over the years:
-Good year ultragrip ice. Used these on my old saturn. I found them great in any weather (deep snow, ice, etc.). Pretty nice on dry roads too
-Walmart specials (magnagrip) - not bad for a cheap tire (only $50/each for my old pickup), but not as good on the ice.
-Michelin X-Ice. Have these for the wife's minivan. Got through last winter which had a ridiculous amount of snow with no problem. I was usually the only one in the office on the "snow days". Very similar to the ultragrip for performance, comfort.
Still looking for a set for my fit - not sure which way to go. Thinking about the hankook iPike - least expensive snow tire i've been able to find around here so far.
