Rota Grid or Spun Supermesh?

So check it. I'm looking for some green wheels, and I've narrowed it down to 3, probably because there ARE only 3 green wheels that aren't home-made
First up: Rota Grid 16x7 +40mm

Next: Rota J-Special 16x7 +37mm

Lastly: Spun Supermesh 16x7 +40mm

Now, I absolutely LOVE the bright neon technoey Spuns, but I absolutely LOATHE the polished (chrome?) lip. What do you guys think out of these three?

You think I can like, call Spun up and ask them to custom paint mine so it's all green without the chrome lip? That would seal the deal for me right there..

anything with a polished lip will look super small. so i'd say the te37 knockoffs would look good in a 16

Im sure they wont make just one set. Youd have to get about 10 people that want a set per to get them the way you want.
I know Rota does stuff similar to that.

Im with Matt, I like the Grids in gween.
Since the wheels are 16's a lip wont make them look small. My 16's look like 16's. *shrugs*

I am liking the Rota-J special style, but you are going to have problems with a +37 offset. Even +40 might give you some grief. My second pick would be the Rota Grid.

lol, I got excited when I saw "SuperMesh" because I thought it was going to be a new size from Piaa

lol sorry to get you excited man. Why would +40 give me grief? What could I do to prevent said grief?

I know myself and others that rub using +42, I personally got rid of my +42 rims in favor of +45 and even then fought with the rubbing a bit. +42 is sort of the minimum ideal offset you want to use on 16" & 17" tires. I can't say for certain because there are other members on here that run less than that.... admittedly they can't put people in the back without rubbing.

I think if you want to run +40 there are some ways to lessen the problems. You can run 195 width tires to avoid rubbing, that or camber in. There is a plastic clip just above the rear tire that has to be ground down a bit as well.

Another thing to note is some tires seem to be thinner by brand, good ones to try would be BF Goodrich and Falken. Stay FAR away from Korean brands like Lexani and Nexen, these are often packaged up with rims.

They also had 215/50/15's for tires. And the lip was a good 2.5in deep.

See, everyone wants a color besides green. That's where my genius comes into play. There will be no mistaking it. You see a Fit with green wheels, you'll know who it is

Individuality ftw! Spuns it is. Now just waiting for T1R's new damper/coil setup to come out. Wanna drop first.

You got a point its always good to be different and not be like everybody else but I dont see alot of cars with supermesh's on them anyway and I havent seen a fit on a set yet, so if you want to be differnt then get em its your choice anyway. plus they so cheap you could prolly get more than one set. I actually thought about pink on one side and the black on the other so the car would kinda like two differnt cars from each side but I think im going to get the the limited ta wheel black with the red pin stripe
