Update. Started last night to strip the paint off these motha chickens. So far, Id say a good 8hrs worth.
Layers and layers of paint! I dont even know what color is OEM.
Blue mist, black, red, white, red again, some weird grey on 2 wheels, (primer) and then this rough silver. I actually like the silver color. I changed mine mind, I may just paint the centers a special color and leave the lips. The lips are pretty mint. Minor nicks.
Ill throw these on for a little. Order the tires for the SSaRRRRRs. Theyll be here Monday.

That was my original plan Al. I had a different plan now, but I changed ALL those plans and went to another plan.
Heres the wheels on the car. I like them, but the tires leave too much gap. Wish they were 205/50's. :-/
BTW, those were taken with my new lens. Just took me some getting use to.
Still not the greatest Fisheye.

Tanky....
Since you are a fan of these wheels, would you happen to know the original color of them? Is it this raw metal color? Its basically the same color as Hx wheels.
White seemed to be the last layer I stripped off. I cant find any info on these wheels. Ive only seen 2 cars with them on H-T. Are they that rare?

I liked the idea of anodizing the lip, but I'm sure that would have been expensive. If it were me, I'd just go back to white. White just pops on your car (or MR period). That's why the ITRs looked so good on there.
Of course, with your crazy taste in colors, I'm sure that's entirely too bland for you.

One of the reasons why I ditched the ITR's was too many people are showing up with white. Josh just got white wheels, when I go to meets and stuff hes usually with me. Two Fits with white rims.... I dont like that.
I wanted to polish the center and paint the lips. First I was going to use that anodized spray paint. It comes out great as Ive dont it before to BBS's on my old Probe.
I was going to go polished center with a ano purple lip.
Center wasnt polished and Im NOT doing all the work to get it polished. Ive done it to Hx's. Its hell.
So now I may go painted center as my last plan. Im leaning to that Mirage color shift paint but top it with real automotive clear.

I'm planning on doing my manifold color with the Dupli-Color Mirage paint before too long, just don't know which color combo I want to go with yet. I've used the red and blue on an old dressers knobs my old room mate and I were making into a beer pong table, and that stuff is awesome.
Would that really hold up on wheels though? I've wanted to go white with a purple lip (a la RC Starks) for years, just haven't had a set of wheels worth trying it on.
And I hear ya on the white wheels... everybody's jumping on that bandwagon lately, but I've always been a fan of it.

Im sure itll hold up. Ive seen it on wheels. Ive used regular Duplicolor paint on brake calipers with no problems.
I have that flat black Camo crap on my calipers and drums right now. Hahha!
Heres my old Probes wheels. From what I hear, theyre still holding up.

Miss that car. It was probably the best daily of all time.
Ran perfect, ran mid 14's with a hand full of bolt ons, averaged 26mph city, A/C, almost mint.
I got side swiped on the way to work one morning and that was my sign to get rid of it.

Yea. I didnt take much of a loss on the car. Picked it up for $500.
I then made it look good, got hit, got an insurance check, sold the car wrecked (wasnt that bad) for more than the insurance check and booom, DP for my Fit.
