i'm currently considering some bronze rota slips in 16's for my VBP....

i have a buddy that drives a prelude (1995 i belive, now he has an evo) and i parked next to him while he still had his car, which wore 16 inch flat black slips.

i dunno what it is, but even in 16's, they didn't look worlds bigger than my rims. not by a long shot. they almost looked the same size, and it may be a combination of the thick spokes and wheel colored lip, but whatever it was, they only looked every so slightly bigger, if any.

i say go 16's. they are not huge and look smaller than most 16 inch wheels because of the design/lip, and they don't weigh too much at all!

to the OP

for offset,
dont go any higher than +40,+38 is the perfect offset IMO.

7" width,nothing smaller

for the drop,
avoid DF210s at all cost.Dont go Swift,GF210's.Tein,Skunk2s gives the lowest look and therefore the better awesome-ness

this will all = win

don't go higher than +40? wouldn't that be, like, the THING to do if you wanted them to fit properly? slips come in offsets all the way up to 48, wouldn't that ensure better fit, since our stock offset is 55? i've heard going below 40 (number wise) would be disaster and a recepie for rubbing...even if you DIDN'T lower the car....

Rota Slipstreams come in different sizes.

16x6.5 or 16x7 with +45 offset is fine with 205/45-16 tires, stock suspension or lowered.

Falken Ze-512 has been replaced with Falken Ze-912 (Ultra HP All Season tire).

so why was the above poster (the one i responded to) saying to go like 42 offset or less? (numberwise that is.)

if 45 is ok, i'm assuming 48 would be even better? thats as close as stock offset as it gets.

I believe his suggestion was for looks. That is, the wheels would sit a little more flush with the fenders. Running less than 42 will most likely cause some level of rubbing. Some people can deal with this, others can't. Its all up to your level of tolerance and driving conditions.

I have 41 and experience some rubbing, but only on larger bumps, which I can largely avoid.

ah i see! ive noticed this 'all show, little care for go' attitude lately towards wheels on the fit...thats a bit misleading for a post, because he didn't specify it was for looks, and even though i knew that what he said was the end all, it had me confused.

+45 or 48 may not be the coolest looking for some folks, but it sure as hell looks fine to me. and no rubbing, even when lowered with people in the car, is what i'm looking for.
