What works?
I've been thinking about getting larger wheels for some time now, but I don't know how big is too big. Mainly I'm concerned with the point at which they will start rubbing as I don't want to be cutting anything to make that stop. I drive a basically unmodified 2007 Fit S. I have an after market air filter and some eyelids and vent visors, but I haven't jacked around with the suspension at all. I know Honda sells those 16" black really lightweight wheels and those are what I've looked at the most. I assume they will go on without a hitch and not rub? Also, will I have to buy new tires to fit on 16's instead of the current 15's? or will they be able to squeeze the stock tires onto a 16" set of wheels?

LOL yes, yes. Please have a good chuckle at my supreme ineptitude when it comes to tires. In my mind tires are made of rubber and can be finessed in ways they can't be in reality. Hence my asking what sort of issues I'm going to be looking at when I go ahead and get new Fit shoes. Of course since it turns out that my wish to keep my current tires on larger wheels is a laughable offense, I believe that I will be waiting until whatever-thousand miles when I have to get new tires anyway to purchase new wheels. No sense in me wasting $1k on new tires when I've got these perfectly good 1/4 used ones.
Which brings to mind... what do you do with your stock wheels when you get new ones?

im in the same boat, no sense in spending $1k and the hassle with TPMS sensors to buy wheels and tires when the stock ones are fine. Although they do make the fit look nicer, i might wait until the stock ones are nice and used.
The stock wheels and tires can be sold for around 300-400 on these forums.
